Depósitos principales de abastecimiento

At the beginning of 2016, the new general tank of Zonzamas came in to force resulting in a vital infrastructure for the island which has a daily storage capacity of up to 30.000 m³ of water. To this point is where most of the desalinated water arrives from the Díaz Rijo Desalination Headquarters and from there propelled to northern, central and southern areas of Lanzarote and the island of La Graciosa. The implementation of this infrastructure and service has consolidated a key point in the supply of potable water.

The most immediate future plans are to transform this island enclave in to the heart of the insular water supply, creating the Zonzamas Regulation Centre.

The new Zonzamas supply tank has become one of the largest hydraulic connection infrastructures on the island for decades.

The new Las Breñas water tank supplies the necessities of the south region of the island of Lanzarote.
